measure it and then find out the volume in inches (length x width x height) then put that info here (first slot) and click calculate. http://www.metric-conversions.org/volum ... allons.htm

Hey there BOBTHETURT 25 gallons looks about right for the size of the tank but as its only a little only half full of water its only about 15 gallons of water. That being said with a turtle that is 6 inches unfortunately your little guy has outgrown his home. I suggest that you start at the beginning of this site and read up on all of the tabs... Info, Basic care, Habitat, Water Quality.. etc..... You are going to learn a lot and realize that you have some work ahead. http://www.redearslider.com/index.html

Good luck.

This is my upgrade from 15 gallon . I had 2 turts but gave one to my friends that has a bigger tank than me. I am getting a atba built. I know its small but I bring him out a lot for a walk around my room and he is happy. He shows no signs of stress. Durning summer I bring him outside . I know its not ideal but I'm working on it. I can't buy a bigger tank as I am still a teenager and tanks in Ireland cost 100 euro for 25 gallons !!! When I move out I will get epic tank.

I appreciate that you are doing all you can to take care of that guy lol I know how hard it is to get them all they need lol.
Here is my history for my turtle

If I had a larger tank I could send to you there in Finland I would lol but I imagine shipping such a large tank would cost you a lot more than it would cost to just give you the Euro's to buy it lol

Good luck :-)

You can also use low cost large plastic storage bins and kiddie pools, a few other owners use tubs designed for animal feed or fish farming too as an alternative to an expensive aquarium.
