So I literally have pit 60 hours plus into this. Just on the whole thought process and design alone takes so much time. I'm sure I'll scrap everything and start from scratch again later. Being a plumber really helps though.

Looks terrific from the pics but for some reason Photobucket always put me in the tiny mobile device view. How big is the tank?

Doesn't work with Safari, but it's OK with FireFox. Thanks!

Yeah, sorry, those pics are tiny. The second link takes you to a page with thumbnails, but the links take you right back to the mobile site. The first link is to the mobile site, so even us people running on the desktop have no way to get to the full size pics.

Maybe just best to post the pictures directly on here. There are only 4 pictures in total. I was able to see the full sized pictures but I had to do some creative clicking to get to them.

It's 75 gal and a 30 gal sump. I'm new to forums so I really don't know the best way to show pics.

You build well. Looks good. How long has it been running? Have you tested the levels yet?

How often do you have to siphon the turtle poop off your substrate in the main tank? Why not put the heater in the sump?

How well is it working? What do you have in the sump? Is that a UV sterilizer?

I ran a refugium sump on my 135gallon. It was a fun project, and the thread about it might still be on this site somewhere.

I was upset with running water sounds as the water ran into the overflow. I ended up using a 1-1/4" PVC with a pump pushing something like 100GPH, and I used a check valve on the highest point of the siphon, and I still got fed up. I may rebuild it one day, better and more efficiently.

Yours is nice. Good luck with it.
