While I cleaned the Tank, I put Turtle down in the bathroom floor, so he could walk around a bit.. now he doesn't like the tank anymore and prefers to be on the bathroom floor.
Is this normal?

Funny.
He gets up vertical on his island, try to push the tank's lid off..
once I put him on the floor he was just there not making noise anymore.

He's just trying to escape which is normal RES behavior. Putting him on the ground puts him in a strange place so it will act more careful.

I've never had Sheldon try to escape (I don't have a lid though). The bathroom floor would be slippery and possibly fun provided you scrubbed it afterward. I think devilduck is right. ;)

btw floors are dirty and if you use chemicals to clean the floors, might wanna give the turtle a quick 'bath' before he gets thrown back into the tank
