Habitat - Indoor :: Turtle and Rosie's New Tank

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Turtie and Rosie are the proud new owners of a used 37 gallon tank and stand. Mom cleaned, sanded, painted and put on new hardware. We switched from river rocks to sand, upgraded to a new Fluval 406 cannister filter, added a new Zoo Med medium dock, and a cute green landscape background cling. We LOVE LOVE LOVE to swim and dive and dig in the sand! This picture is actually of the first time we've really basked in the 8 days since we've had our new home (we've just been so busy playing!). Mom is SO happy now! No more Turtle Tank-Change Wednesdays for her! Danny the Danio seems to like his new home too.

The tank and stand as purchased off CL.

Um... I'm sure I rinsed it. I'm sure of it. In the middle of winter, in MI, in the snow, outside, at night.

That looks like a lot of room for those two little girls.l They should enjoy that for awhile.

Wish me luck! Tomorrow is my first major water change. It seems more daunting than changing our old 10 gallon tank. I'm glad I got to practice siphoning with the small tank before tackling the 37 gallon. I did a trial run on rinsing the filter pads at the 2 week mark so hopefully this goes smoothly. I'll have the house to myself so if I royally screw up, at least there'll be no witnesses. :)

Good luck! I still have "accidents" when ever doing water changes.
