Habitat - Indoor :: skippy or trickle?

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hello, just a quick question on what is recommended for turtle habitat filtration.

What is the difference between a skippy filter, and a trickle filter, i know how they work but im wondering which one is better for turtles? filtration wise

in other words is it better for the water to be sent to the bottom of the filter and work its way up, or to have water trickle down thought the media and exit the bottom?

or could i have a skippy, and then have the water enter a trickle filter.

any thoughts would be helpful, thank you

I think in most cases it'll be a skippy style filter. I'm not sure if there is a preference as long as it can filter the amount of water it needs too.
