Hello. I'm brand new here and just obtained a female (unknown age) RES. We're setting up her 150g tank and it's going to be rather bare with just her in it. I was wondering if I could use plastic plants to spice it up? Also, what kind of substrate would be best for the bottom? AND last but not least, what kind of "friends" could I get her? I know feeder fish are okay to have in there (even if she does snack on them)..But are there any other fish that won't harm her if eaten? Or ones she won't eat? Thanks guys :D

Yes you can use plastic or real plants. Most people here go with bare bottoms or sand. There are lots of different fish you can use, it just depends if you're concerned about them being eaten or not.
