I want to build a basking area where i can put crushed coral as the substrate Now i was thinking of building a wooden box with about an inch or two from the bottom before the ramp so i can put up about 2 inches of substrate inside, what do you guys think? Oh and i need tips on what types of wood to use and whether or not i would need to boil/bake them and i also need what types of metal brackets. I dont even know what metal brackets are. I was looking for an old post or website that i saw but now i couldnt find it. ANother thing is what type of ramp should i make, what material should that be so it somewhat matches the substrate i was thinking of putting silicone on the ramp and just sprinkle some of the substrate on so it has enough grip and matches the actual basking area. Tips and help is greatly appreciated.
