Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

A stock tank is very solid, especially compared to other types of tanks. I guess you can stack a few blocks to raise it, though you won't get much space underneath it like you would with a cabinet. I guess he would be OK in a basement, provided the noise and distractions are limited.

A storage container... like the clear ones, won't last too long. If you have the space for it and are planning on a stock tank, you might as well just go ahead and get it.

I've lived in apartments before but I've always left my RES Mr Bean with my parents (where he doesn't get the best care). I'd really love to take him to an apartment with me, so I was wondering- how have you dealt with landlords regarding small pets and aquariums?

Mine hasn't said a word.

Also- could someone give me a link to a plastic container they'd recommend?

Isn't plastic toxic? I like my 10 gallon glass tank. I bought it at a pet store.

But in all honesty, I never even mentioned my turtle or my aquarium (or my cat) to my apartment manager and I've been a-ok. I'm also on the ground floor.

Me, too. It never even occurred to me until after I bought George, so... And George is in the front window on prominent display, so she's no secret. Just never had the conversation. No biggie. :msgreen:

That's why we recommend stock tanks. They are made for live stock and on farms. Many people use them as fish ponds as well.
