When you buy a basking lamp, ANY every-day lamp works? or do I have to get them from pet shops? (not talking about UVB bulb)

What you need to get are bulbs that produce heat, such as incandescent household bulbs. For now, I'm sticking with reptile basking spotlight as I have no luck with household bulb, they don't last as long as them. This is based on my experience
