Has anyone had a slider break the glass in their aquarium. I have a 180 gallon tank and my turtle slams her shell against the glass begging for food. Is it possible for her to break it. She is 7 inches at present. Or is there any way to stop this behavior? I don't feed her anything extra when she does this but I think she knows it gets my attention even if I don't show it.

For a 180 gallon tank, the glass will be really thick and not (directly) breakable by a RES. I think you are doing the right thing by not giving her attention and she should learn from it. Don't acknowledge or make eye contact either. Would covering the side of the tank be an option?

I have a tank background that should take care of one side. She won't be able to see me. Thanks.
