I have a Turtle Topper Above-Tank Basking Platform by Reptology Life Science. I love it and never had any issues with it until recently. A few months ago, I noticed that the ramp to the platform was coming off pretty easily. Not long after that, it was normal for me to come home and see the ramp laying on the bottom of my RES's tank. I always took the ramp out, reattached it and pushed down to make sure that it was secure, but it would be back on the bottom in a matter of minutes. A few times, I got to see my RES pull it down in action. She would swim to the ramp, make it up about 3-4 steps, and the ramp would just give and fall off. I looked at the parts that hook into place and none of them are broken or weak. I was very upset a few weeks ago when I was feeding her and noticed that there was blood on the ramp and near the opening of the basking area. I began looking all over her and found that she was bleeding and had been cut in two places. I'm guessing that she slipped trying to get back up the ramp and scraped herself on the way down. The cuts were not bad enough to warrant a vet trip or stitches and she healed quickly, but I was still worried.

My girl is 10 years old, so she's on the larger side, but when the ramp will stay in place, she has no trouble fitting on the ramp or into the basking area. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this product? The rest of the area is still in perfect working order, but she can't get to it without the ramp. I'm not sure what I could get to put in its place so that she can still use it. Ideas?

I don't use so I can't be of much help here. It should be repairable BUT I would message them on their Facebook page. I'd bet they care about customer service and will try to help you out, maybe send a replacement.
