There is no set way of doing it, but I would prepare a separate container for the water/bleach soak for about an hour. Then rinse and soak in clean water for a few hours. Then let it dry for a day or two.

Crushed gravel similare to sand bot not that fine as sand i bought it at the fish store they had it in like big sacks cleaned it a lot
