Habitat - Indoor :: Old saltwater tank

Is it ok to use a tank that was previously saltwater for my freshwater turtle (After it has been properly cleaned, of course)?

I don't see why not. What is the real different between a tank that is freshwater and one that is for saltwater? Is it just the difference in what you put in them? There was a thread not to long ago about adding a bit of saltwater to the tank anyway. Might want to check that out.

no, you can get rid of everything for a saltwater tank to go to a freshwater tank, but some things included with the tank can only be used for saltwater, and some things can't be used for freshwater. Still a fish tank though

Oh ya, I also came accross several topics about adding a bit of aquarium salt to your tank, I think that's what you were talking about I guess it can keep fungus and bacteria at bay? I've never used it...

A saltwater tank that's been cleaned should be fine to use.
