I've heard so many things about fake plants... will turtles eat them? are they hard to clean?

i would imagine REAL plants would dirty the water more...is this true???

I really want to get fake plants, but only if it's safe....

cheers! :)

I have several different types of fake plants in my tank. Koopa actually tried to nip at one the first time it was put in but after realizing it wasn't food, he hasn't done that again.

Just be sure the plants do not have any tiny parts that can come off or be bitten off easily. Plastic plants are easier to clean than the silk ones, but I like the way the silk ones look in the tank better. :)

Make sure that you get plants that are designed for aquariums, or ones that you are sure don't have metal on the inside of them. You wouldn't want the effects of rust in your tank!
