8)

Hi....I'm new to this forum. I have a 30 gallon set-up for my 3 turts Shea, Beltran, and Delgada!! The advice I got from others in this forum is that I should at least get a 50 gallon rubbermaid tub for my guys. How do I brace it from the water pressure so that I don't spring a leak....

Any suggestions??....

It's actually more so the sides don't bow out. You'll end up with this shape (__) rather than this shape [__] and the water could eventually collapse the container. You might want to do a search in the Photo section. I know I've seen pics of such a thing. It's a ways back tho. I think pvc pipe had something to do with it.

I mean, I'm not going to fill the container all the way to the top. I'd like for them to have ample swimming water, but I also need a space for them to bask, too.

YOU TOOK CARLOS BELTRAN FORM US!

anyways i think you use brackets and 2X4's and nail them together (youll need to cut the 2X4's) and youl need 4 brackets and 2 2X4's i think.

Mets are the KINGS of MLB!!!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to look at some more pics of rubbermaid tub set-ups. I don't have time to cut 2 x 4's and nail them. Lol

If you're handy with pvc, there's a topic on happy turtle's pub with various setups using pvc bracing for plastic tubs. You'll need to google that though...
