Habitat - Indoor :: Tank Issue

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

the problem with internal filters is if you have a smaller tank and therefore limited space, they take up valueable swimming space. Guess you just have to decide on whether you want to inconvenience yourself (the noise) or the turtles (invading their space).. :D

I have a waterfall filter--Aquaclear 500. The noise isn't too bad if you keep it filled up most of the way...we do unplug it while watching movies though... or if guests sleep over in our living room

that's the one I have and its much quieter than the Whisper one I have for the plant tank. Can barely hear the tv over that one.

You can silicone a piece of plexiglass to the lip of where the water comes out of the Aquaclear to break its fall and quiet the sound. :)
