Hey, just wondering if your turtles are like mine... :?

They eat absolutely everything they see on the bottom of the tank...
Even when my smaller turtle poop, the larger turtle swallows the whole thing... by the way, is this harmful to the turtle to eat poop?

Ah, a caprophage! Lots of critters are caprophages. Guinea pigs are notorious, my beagle loves to clean up the front yard. A bit disgusting, but doesn't seem to harm her. I have never seen this behavior in either of my turtles, but it is probably not detrimental to the turts health. Heck, I'd much rather have my turtle doing it than my beagle.

You might have to withhold the food she likes until she's hungry enough to eat other things (try leafy greens like dandelion, or aquatic plants like anachris, look in the posts in the feeding forum for other food options). You could also get some of the scent of a smelly food she likes on a new food, which might attract her to it.

I get worried because I never see any poop in the tank so I just assume she's eating it. She eats fine and everything but I hardly ever see any poop. I guess she'll get the nutrients the second time around if she didn't get them the first.
