Mouth rot is contagious, and there's always the chance the other turts could pick up some of the bacteria if they're walking around on the same floor the sick one is. I'd keep the one totally separate from the others.

thankyou marissa. do you know how long it takes to heal? cause she is getting her kast jab today and her mouth does look better and she is eating better - but it is still quite white and she still struggles to eat turtle sticks till they have soaked up a bit of water? they is no actual turtle vet here (or reptile vet) and the vet i see seems to know a bit but has had to look up in a book for treatment ? i just dont think she is healed enough to stop antibiotics????

Not being a herp vet and not having direct experience with the condition, I really don't know and wouldn't want to guess. Here's a link to some info about it that might be good to look at: http://www.maturtlerescue.org/mouth_rot.htm (Perhaps you could contact the author and ask her about how long it takes to heal.)

If you feel the vet you're taking your turtle to is doing a good job, I'd contact him/her and express my concerns about the need for further treatment. I don't know where you are, but if you want to try another vet for a second opinion, have you tried to find one from the links in the sticky on locating a herp vet? Let us know how your turtle progresses.
