I have several fish nets as well. The Marina Nylon brand I got from Big Al's are pretty good for turt poop and skin. You just have to clean them right away because that stuff is hard to clean once it dries.
I'd like to find a net with a longer handle though. In between cleanings I scoop out stuff as I see it and I end up having to put my arm in to the water up to my biceps to get to the bottom. I don't like doing that because my turtle can be mean and will bite. I found that out the hard way. I was just trying to scoop out some turtle poop and next thing I know I have a turtle attached to my arm. And let me tell you she bites hard.
There's a good aquarium shop near me that stocks nets of all sizes. Some of them have really long handles as well. If you have a shop that really specializes in fish, you probably could find one there.

I have some feeder fish and snails that Prometheus seems not to be eating and they make a little bit of waste. I usually take my net and swurl the waste around and collect it in the net. The wonderful world of turtle keeping.
By the way, I've got 33 gallons of water for prometheus with an XP3 filter. The water is clear but some brown waste and collected on the floor, walls, and tubes of the filter. Should i do a water change or just stick my arm in the rubbermaid tub with a wash cloth and clean the walls?
It takes me generally less then one hour, I've been cleaning fish tanks for ages, so it's just part of my routine.
When I bought my aquarium, one of the things it came with, was a 20 foot hose and a python attached to the hose. I can attach it to a faucet, turn the water on, flip a switch and it will drain the 55 gallons in about 20 minutes. Flip the switch again and fills it in about the same time. That was worth the 100 dollar investment right there.
