No not at all. Its a Danby 70 pint. Its pretty quiet and works well. Cost was $230. I could have bought it cheaper on line but I wanted to be able just to take it back close to home in case it breaks. Also got an 1 year extended warranty. Would have got a longer one but that's all they offered.

1 DBT White Concentric Female/ Lucky
1 DBT Male/ Spots
(Housed in the same tank)

300 gallon indoor stock tank, FX6 & FX5 filters. Mega-Ray 100w UVB bulb.

we have been testing different methods, the first was a LARGE plastic lid that covered about 1/2 of it, that failed! next is going to be that plastic window sealer that they use in the winter.

I got tired of the overhead water pipes dripping on me and everything. This works. I know its not cheap but it works.

If your only covering part of the tank it won't work. At least I don't think it will.

Do u guys think the water from the dehumidifier can be recycled back into the tank? Would the water be harmful at all?

I don't think I'd risk it. I think bacteria or fungal growth is possible in the stagnant water in a humidifier.

I've used mine for watering plants, but that's about as far as I would go.
