wow, do u think I should put a ledge on the plexi so the dock is higher up and I don';t need to use such high water level
. Instead of making the plexiglass so high, I make the roof and put some net to not make them escape but have a ramp so they can get up there? and the light can go over top?

oh and did the people u buy the plexi glass from drill the holes for u too?
how much was the plexi glass

I drilled the holes in the plexiglass. It was pretty easy especially once the drill bit got hot it sorta melted right through it. Not sure why you wouldn't want your water to be completely full if your building an atba unless i misunderstood your question?

If you drill slowly it's fine and use a new drill bit. Once the bit got heated up it basically just melted through the plexi. I think all my pieces of plexi and getting it cut cost me like $36-$40 bucks. Can't remember exactly since it's been a little bit since I bought it all.

Here is Fred's basking area. It took me about an hour to build and about $5 for the wood at Home Depot.
This is temporary though as I'm in the market for a 90+gallon tank and a canister filter. However, though the whisper hasn't done a bad job. Having a window next to my tank has been pretty handy for water changes.

Fred took a liking to it pretty quick!

You may want to be careful with those smaller pebbles so that the turtle does not try to eat them. This can be fatal to the turtle. Other than that, your basking area is very cool!

i was a little weary of putting the gravel in the basking area. I now have some 4 inch tiles where the gravel sat But once Fred gets on to the basking area its all business lol I did have gravel in the tank but took it out because when it is in the water he loves to try and eat. I stopped that real quick!
