I just made this today. Its temporary until I get a 75gal tank. He doesn't like it... yet, hopefully he will. Had to place him up there and he slide off 10 seconds later.

Cut a magazine holder and wire tied them to a document tray thing and taped cardboard on the sides so Edward doesn't climb out.

He might not have enough traction to climb up there.

Tomorrow I can hopefully buy the stuff for my ATBA. Eggcrate (base) Plexiglass (sides) fake grass (cover base) Can I just use normal silicone I already have used for outdoors? since its not going to be in or touching the water? Also I thought eggcrate was cheap? My local Lowes has it for 12 bucks a sheet I don't know the size but I probably might needed two. Hopefully Home Depot has them cheaper. I'll post pictures if I'm able to do it tomorrow.

Where are you going to apply the silicone? To attach the ramp to the eggcrate, use some plastic zip ties.

Yeah I noticed that an hour later and put a pebble looking sink mat in there over the ramp. He finally got up there today after I closed it off. He doesn't like being watched anymore apparently.

Here it is! He loves it so far he climbs on it explores and jumps off. He basked up there this morning he seems to enjoy the extra room considering that dock in there was his only space. I added some eggcrate to make sure he doesn't jump from the ramp to the top of the tank. I'm still going to add a few things like fake plants and rocks to give it a more natural look. Took me all day hope you guys like it :)

It is pretty basic for now. I just got all the rest of the equipment earlier tonight.

I have a double lamp with UVA/B blubs and the heating lamp.
Now I realize that the heat lamp will make my apartment hotter. I dont have an AC do I am already dying. heh :(
The water level is pretty low for now, just over 1 inch.

I did forgot a water heater though. Though I will get one when I return the water filter, it is really loud. So I think I might spring for a canister water filter.

I am going to have to find a different place to put the power strip...heh.

Ooooh look, he/she blends in! :D

He/she likes to float when put in the water...Hurry and learn to swim little dude!

How big is that thank? Your baby is so tiny!!! He/she has lots a room to grow in there :). Are you gradually adding water ? Since you don't have much water in there, is the lamp heating the water for now? I imagine it is until you get a water heater. Sucks about the AC haha

So I think I might have solved the whole "turtle likes to get caught in the filter water overflow current" issue.
I am going to see if a hardware store carries the plastic grids I keep seeing on this thread. I will make a mirrored L shaped fence and put it in front of the filter overflow. To hold it in place, Ill bury it under an inch layer of gravel :D
Hopefully that way I can leave the filter on when I am not at home.

For now this seems to work...

Don't put gravel in your tank! It could kill your baby! That stuff is in the lighting section..it can be a little weird to find. Its close to the lumber usually. I had to ask several employees to find it! Please read this first though. I had to do this for my betta.. its much cheaper! http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=30139
