It was the reason I had them separated for a year or so in small plastic bins. They were in a 75 gallon tank and just figured the tank was too small, which it was, but it's still happening even in this size of an enclosure. Here's the weird part. I drained the tank this weekend, and added 100lbs more of sand. I put them in that plastic bin together and not one fight. I put them back in once refilled and heated, she is chasing nonstop. I don't get it.

That's a little weird. I wish I could help.

I've been looking for plastic pieces like this to separate the turtles. I went to Lowes and I couldn't find anything remotely like this. Home Depot I hope has it, but anyone else know where I could get this?

They should both have it, in white.... in their lighting department. It's called a light diffuser. If you want other colors, materials, you can order it online.

ah, thanks! I was looking in the HVAC section, not the lighting section.

So, just to show you how much of a b*tch Sophia is to Cojack (who is a complete wuss!), I had Sophia in a plastic bin separate. Within literally 2 minutes of putting her back in the big tank, she's hunting down Cojack and going at it. I wish Cojack would just give her the business and be done with it. She is so much larger!

Here is the first minute or so of me putting Sophia back in.

Don't pay attention the cat in the background. She's 19 years old, and fat.

I hope you can get one figured out. A divider would be best as you discussed above but how would you connect it to the tank?

Yeah, that sucks. My male turtles also attacks my female when out of the tank... so I need separate enclosures when I take them outside.

I have 2 choices:
1) basically ruin my turtle 5 star 250gallon hotel by putting a divider in there. I was going to basically get the plastic venting material, make a frame with 2-3 inch CVP piping and zip tie the vent to the CVP frame. Then drill holes in the pipe and place 4-5 suction cups (I already have a bunch) to suction it to the sides of the tank.

-OR-

2) kick sophia to the curb, buy a big plastic bin from home depot that holds like 150gallons of water and just put her a$$ in there. I'm so upset she is such a punk!

Hmmmm wel what kind of colors can you get for those dividers? Maybe you can get something to match the tank decor and prevent you from buying another heater and filter.

Well i have filters from when I had them separated. the heaters are $10-$15. she irritates me as she is getting aggressive with me even. I dont know what her problem is, maybe she's just upset cuz I keep removing her but screw that turtle....she's put huge bite marks in Cojack's neck and legs.

Poor Cojack. Hope she's ok. Then maybe doing option #2 is best.

I may try getting some feeder fish in there and maybe...just maybe it'll distract her. Otherwise, she's getting put into a plastic bin...or I'll find someone who just wants one turtle. I really don't want to divide my big tank.

I don't balme you, the tank looks awesome! I say option 2 or 3;) Which ever is best for you. I don't know how much the feeder fish would help the cause.Might make her more mad due to even more creatures in her space.
