This is my 5 minute basking platform for my babies Jack, Rose, and Burt.
they can swim under the platform as well, which has an air bubble (just in case)

If you haven't already you should consider drilling some exhaust holes in the flat area of the bottom of the tub. I see you have your heat lamps directly overhead. The heat lamps will do more than just warm the turtles they are also going to raise the temperature of the air in your little air pocket. I dont know if it would create an issue with the evaporation of the water in an enclosed area but if you drill some holes in it then any gasses that might be trapped in that air pocket would escape without issue.

We just finished their ATBA. Any suggestions? We used plywood, glass, this metal for paint buckets as the ramp with some samples of fake grass glued onto the ramp.

Who are those two cuties?

Could you upload some more photos? I'd like to see the whole thing because I'm not really sure what you meant by the metal for the paint buckets.

I have just finished reading this entire thread. There is a whole lot of love for turtles up in here.

I know what I want to do tomorrow.
... what I *should* be doing is the dishes, the laundry, and the office, but I think I'll be building an ATBA. I'm already planning it out in my head despite it being nearly 1am.

This is my ABTA, constructed with acrylic and plywood. The ramp is acrylic with river stones siliconed in place, and the substrate of the platform is a reptile substrate that resists stains, odors, and can get wet of course.

Since this pic was taken the branches have grown algea and becomed water logged, plus they look much, much more natural and like they have been in water for a while. This pic was when the logs where put in the tank. Oh and no more shull, selects too much debris.

That's the piece I'm looking for. I want place it upside down though so the long end sticks out of the water, like the pic in my avatar
