Looks very nice! Be careful about all that weight down in the center - not all tank stands support the entire bottom.

Don't worry this one does its a whole sheet of Wood under the glass and supports under in the cupboard

What would be the best way to stick it to the aquarium? I thought of using silicone. Or would you cut it to fit?

Strips of glass would hold better over time than acrylic, but I think it might only be suitable for smaller tanks.
