It's long lol but this is my solution of feeding my turtle out of the tank. Lol she(he?) is trained now

Anyway, my glass tank leaked and after flooding my neighbors I'm now scared to have another glass tank so I'm thinking of Rubbermaid. I will post a topic with some questions

Very cool idea. Just make sure this is done under supervision and taken out when she's finished :)

She's been eating like this for a year or two. Why under supervision? And we leave it there sometimes because she comes back to eat later

And thank you)))) I'm very lazy and laziness is the mother of invention. So true with everything I do))))

Its very difficult for RES to flip over properly in a small amounts of water. It's a potential drowning situation.

Got it, thank you, I didn't think of that. I'm going to take it out when I leave the house.

It's a very small chance, he has no space to flip over, only while climbing in and still not sure how. But anything is possible and why risk it

I have 13 aquatic turtles: Myrtle (F, 10 in RES/Map Hybrid), Beach (M 6 in RES/Map Hybrid), Spot (M 8 in RES), Sheldon (M 5 in. Western Painted), Pinky (F, 10 in RES), Red II (F, 10 in RES), Hidey ( F 9 in YBS), Bravey (F, 10 in YBS), Bitey (M, 6 in YBS), Green (F, 10 in RES), Grey (F, 10 in RES), George (F, 8 in Southern Painted), Tripod (F 8 in, Eastern Painted, missing a rear flipper).

To house all these turtles I have:
2 x 75 gallon tanks with ATBAs and FX5s
1 x 40 gallon breeder with ABTA and XP XL(4)
1 homemade 400 gallon pond with homemade filter system (mechanical filter boxes, pond pumps, rubbermaid trash container and bio-media), basking and nesting areas.
1 x 300 gallon stock tank with FX5 filter and basking and nesting areas.

A few notes, I got really good at bending eggcrate (light diffusers) with a heat gun and use them for all my ramps. I like using ceramic tiles for basking areas because they are cheap and retain heat. Feel free to ask any questions about my setups.

Here is where everyone is housed:

75 gallon aquarium: Myrtle
75 gallon aquarium: Beach
40 gallon breeder: Spot
400 gallon indoor pond: Sheldon, Red II, Pinky, Hidey, and Bravey
300 gallon stock tank: Grey, Green, Tripod, George, and Bitey

(Note only one male per habitat. Seems to keep the aggression down.)

Those the most incredible indoor habitats I've ever seen! Amazing work Ctlm17!

For those of us with female turtles can you give us more detail on your nesting box?
