Habitat - Indoor :: Please help me decide about my basking bulb!!

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I know I asked this already, but I looked around and can't find anything on it and I need an answer so I can run to the store. Thanks guys!

Is the T-Rex UV Heat too strong for a 40 gallon long tank? And how can I hang it without drilling a hole in the cieling? Also, would it make more sense to return this $80 bulb and just get a normal UV for about $25 and use a normal bulb for heat? It's much cheaper, I'm just not sure if it works.

I find it easier to just use a UVB bulb and a regular lightbulb you find around your house. It's cheaper and works the same. (if i'm wrong someone correct me!!)

The TRex bulbs are expensive, but it's what I prefer to use. I bought a clamp lamp and it's clamped to the side of the tank.
