I got it from a Canadian home improvement chain called Rona. It's manufactured by LITELINE, which is also a Canadian company but may have distributors across the border. You could try contacting LITELINE to see if they know of any sources close to you. http://www.liteline.com/

Here's the Rona product page: http://www.rona.ca/shop/~egg-crate-diff ... panel_shop

lilsisofwwf " was wondering if anyone could tell me what exactly this "green slip guard" would be called if i went to look for it at the store, and what store I should go to. I need something to cover the bottom of Koopa's ATBA because it's glass on the bottom and I figured the green stuff would work. I'm currently using her old zoomed dock to use as her ramp but we're still working on how to attach it ^^;; I might just go buy a piece of egg crate.."

well i bought my greenslip thingy at big lots they only cost like a buck

I got mine from Home Depot. We got the black kind that's a little thicker than the green kind. I wouldn't recommend getting the thicker kind though.

what kind of bulb do you have. you need a UVB bulb and a heat bulb above the basking area

the glass blocks all of the UVB and even if it didnt it doesnt penetrate water so its not doing anything for your turtles. it has to be over the basking area to do any good. what is the temp of the water and basking area?

The basking area looks too small to me. Can your turtles get completely out of the water and have the top and bottom of their shells get dry?

yeah it was a bit small, ive put an extra bit of cork bark in and used that first bit as a ramp up to it so they can get completley dry off, also ordered a heat lamp ogg ebay. Will post pics when I get it all set up, thanks for your comments !

I wish I had seen this before, you don't need a heat lamp. An ordinary house bulb provides plenty of heat. All you need to do is move the UVB lamp to the top of the basking area.

Other than that, you should pick up some digital thermometers (or a temp gun) for your water and your basking area. You need to make sure your temps are correct. If the water feels warm to you, then it's waaaay to hot for your turts. The water should be around 78* and the basking should be around 90*.

Will cork bark hold up a big turtle? I have a large five-year old turtle. I'm using one of those large plexiglass turtle ramps and it seems to be holding up well, but I felt that maybe if I could get some cork bark wedged in the aquarium, Louie might like that better than the platform. Thanks for your help/suggestions.

If it is wedged in then, yes. You can also use magnets (algae cleaners) or suction cups for additional support. However I wouldn't recommend to set it up the way it is in the pic above.
