I used NovAqua plus on my 20 gallon half-filled tank and it still smells like chlorine. Does the smell stay there or is it supposed to go away? By the way, the smell is not strong, but it is there.

The smell went away (this post was from yesterday) but now the tank is a little cloudy. Is this normal? My water circulation for the filter seems fine.

cloudy water is normal. The tank just needs to cycle. Won't affect the turts, although it may kill any fish in there. It'll clear up in a couple of days.

I am a bit surprised at cloudy water on a small tank with only 10 gallons of water. What kind of filter are you using?

Did you rinse all media off before putting it in the filter?
