Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I've got a 35 gallon sump tank set up right now and i need to get a new pump for the return. The tank is 90 gallons and I'm not too sure how many gallons/hour is optimal for this setup. I don't want to be at the bare minimum but I also don't want to overdo it.

I believe I'm looking at something in the 800 - 1200 gph range but I'm not entirely sure.

That is alot for a 90 gallon tank. My Rena Filstar XP3 filter runs at 350gph on my 90 gallon tank and it is plenty for that size tank. That cycles the water through 4 times per hour. At 1200gph you would be cycling the water around 13 times every hour on a 90 gallon tank.

You're right that does seem a little bit excessive, I suppose i'll pick up something more around 700 gph, maybe this http://www.bigalsonline.ca/catalog/product.xml?product_id=27411;category_id=3855;pcid1=2181;pcid2 Its only $10 more than the 500 gph model so i may aswell.
