how big are these tanks realy
i have one red ear slider it is 10 months old
and i am waiting til i know if its a girl or boy to name it

dont worry about a 10 gallon, it wont last you beans, worry about a bigger tank.

Really only big enough for a really small hatchling (one inch or less).

It depends on what shape tank you buy because the 10 gallon is not much different from the 20 gallon at petsmart. I bought a rectangle 20 gallon and when I put it side by side to the 10 gallon, there was only about one and half inches difference in width. The 20 gallon is just deeper. Next time I buy a tank, Im going to go for a different shape so I can get more width.

it depends on if you get a 20 gallon High tank or a 20 gallon long tank. There's a significant difference. There may only be a difference in height with the 10/20 but that's 10 more gallons of water or well even if it's 5 gallons since you don't fill it to the top, that's a lot of water difference for a turtle.
