Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I'm at a loss right now. I've got everything Prometheus needs I just need to make the tank (rubbermaid tub) look good. I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get decorations. Since his name is Prometheus I was going to get something greek. They have cool stuff at Petsmart but it's way expensive. Also, does anyone have a good idea about the bottom of the tank, like rocks (I know not too small) or flat marbles. Thanks!

How big is Prometheus and how big is the rubbermaid you have him in? Simply, river rocks work real well for most people.

You don't want to over fill the tank/container with "things". The main reason for having so much space is for him to be able to swim. I'd stick to river rocks and plants, maybe a log type thing that could double as a resting/hiding place but that would be the most I'd put in if it were me. :)

he's about 4.5 inches in a 50 gallon tub. I was thinking about putting a greek ruin that's 8"W X 5"D X 7"H. I'm going to get some plants and put them around it so he has some privacy.

I only have one of those rubber type trees they sell at petsmart for my turtle and nothing else so she can swim. The tree is soft so she likes to hide in it and when the current of the filter moves her, she hangs on to it. I put it right under the current so it wouldnt so strong.

On his shell he holds the Earth,
His thought is slow but always kind;
He holds us all within his mind."
