Hi Guys,

Need your help again.

I am looking at building a new basking area for my turtle tank, but do not want to sacrifce any swimming area if possible!!!

Right now i am just doing a bit of investigation work and would REALLY appreciate other members leaving links to pictures or discriptions of there handy work when designing a basking area for their turtle's that lives in tank's.

Thanks guys for your help. I think this thread could be a good reference for anyone wanting to build a basking area and avoid those crapy basking products you can buy from the pet shop.

Cheers

If you look in the Photo Gallery, you'll see a number of examples of basking areas members have made. Ellman605 also recently posted pictures of the basking area he made.

i just built one, as marisa said, and its working out well

Here it is, i'll add more pics tomorrow when its lighter

it was very simple, just took some boarding, i forget what type, attached the sides with l brackets and screws, and the ramp is a small zoo-med dock covered in foam.
