Habitat - Indoor :: odd behavior - trashing around, not eating

for the last couple of days, my 8 year old res hasn't had much of an appetite and has been thrashing around like crazy!! haven't made any changes to her tank/settings/surroundings. I read in another post she could be gravid??? don't know much about the reproduction part but she has never mated nor laid eggs before so don't know if that is it. please help, the thrashing is driving me crazy!!!!

Thrashing as in going nuts and looking like she is trying to escape? Does it happen around the same time each day?
Her size will dictate onset of the wonderful world of egg laying more than age.
If she is going crazy and not eating, she quite possibly could be gravid. They lay eggs even when they don't mate.
With the warm weather, there's no harm on taking her out to walk around and see if she starts digging a nest. If you don't have an area outside just do a quick search on the forum and you'll find plenty of ideas for an indoor nesting area.

Going crazy nuts!! She does look like she is trying to get out of her tank. Last two mornings it started around 7 or 8am (don't know about days previous, already at work at that time), and continues till around 1 or 2pm!!! On July 2nd I did her measurements, approx.. 8 inches long and 4lbs 6oz. I'll take her outside tomorrow evening and see if she starts digging. Thank you!!
