I had a temperature gauge but I haven't had it since my move. Do the stick on digital thermometers work as well for reading air temperatures?

i have a digital for room temp and one of those fish tank thermometers for water temp. I dont think the digital one can be immersed in water. I check the basking temp w/the digital

i wouldnt recomend those strip type of thermometers that are like a peice of tape. I had one and i found out it was reading 10 deegres higer than the water actually was. try going to a pet store to get a thermometer. Ther like $2 or $3. I mean Really wat is 2 or 3 bucks for a good thermometer :o !
