i would like to know if the tank is fine the way it is or am i missing something? thank.
It is a ten gallon tank
(Im going to buy a UVA lamp next weekend)

Looks pretty good. Make sure he can't get stuck through the openings in the decorations and rocks. Until you get the UVB lamp, you can still get the basking lamp (it will provide heat and UVA) and this can be an ordinary incandescent bulb. I'd get a thermometer to measure the water temperature, and if necessary, a submersible water heater (set to 78-80F).

Defo need to get basking lamp in there asap. And control temperature of the water. If you can't go out and buy a baskin light setup right away just use a desk lamp that point down over the floating platform. Also I have the same floating dock as you. Your turtle may have difficulty climbing onto it. I diyed an extended ramp but even if you move your rock below it so he can step on the rock then platform helps.
Location: Ottawa, ON, Canada

Turtle: RES about 6-8months old
Tank Mates: Mystery Snails, Peacock Eel, 2 cichlids
Habitat: 55 gal, UVA & UVB lighting, Live Plant and high volume filter
Diet: Pellets, jello shots (wont eat veggies :()
