That's a very small tank. While it's a baby it will be fine but a large upgrade will be required.
Make your basking platform almost as high as the water can go cause need to fill that tank near the rim to provide some swimming space.
Your need a UVA bulb and UVB bulb for the basking area with a temperature of 90F
Also need a filter and possibly a water heater.

Turtles are high maintenance but if you buy all the requirements tank size filter etc the size required for a full grown turtle saves money in the long run.

Most turtles life span are 50-75 years.

If money is an issue surf kijiji great deals pop up.

You can just purchase something like a smaller-sized Zoo Med Turtle Dock (This isn't the only available size, by the way):

I made mine out of acrylic and used superglue to put it together.

It's not pretty, but it's functional.

You probably don't want to use wood products. They'll eventually break down, or worse, your turtle may ingest them. Do you have easy access to PVC pipe and aquarium silicone? If so, you could attach a piece of slate to a few PVC "legs".

Are there any adhesives? Also, small gravel needs to be removed :(

The warmth is the main incentive for them to bask. If you want, I'd suggest looking at the PVC/tile basking platforms posted on this site. Those things are tanks and will last forever.
