I put a bubbler in Sylvia's tank after reading about them on here. She was fascinated at first and seems to enjoy it (I think). It's one of those thin blue brick-style kinds. I noticed yesterday a chunk was taken out of it - and am assuming she is gnawing on it.

The beast! Should I remove it? Is it safe for her? I almost bought the flat disc shaped one - may have to replace it with that kind instead.

I'd try the different one. My male RES liked to bite things so much he chipped his beak. It healed but I have to keep his tank pretty bare.

Ok, will do, thanks! I should have known...her tank is bare except for the necessities due to her destructive tendancies- filter, basking area and heater with uber strong covering. Beast!
