Yesterday I changed the water in the container (I have yet to buy the new tank). It's a 12 gallon container and I fill it roughly 3/4 of the way up.
That's about 8 gallons, though I bet it is less. I put about the right amount of dechlorinator for 8 gallons, but I'm sure I put too much. Will this cause problems for the turtles.

i would replace some water its pretty harsh stuff in high amounts just do a partial water change 8)

o and you can get a much bigger container at walmart or k-mart for not much my 50gals price tag said 13.99

Can it be really harsh if its a little over? I'm sure it's just a shade over the right amount.

ok if its just a shade it should b fine but if you c him rubbing his eyes or anything replace a bit of the water
