i have 2 baby RES, they are about 2" long. when they were babies, they lived in a 10gal glass tank. and now i have bought a 110L plastic container as their tank. i had realized the plastic container started to bend due to the weight of the water. i have thought of getting an acrylic tank for them because it is much stronger and looks better. my question is how much (estimate) is a 50gal acrylic tank? the plastic container only costs $12.99. thx...

much higher than that check the news papers yard sales etc. sometimes lady luck is on your side. rubbermaid containers work well and kiddie pools Ive heard as well.

alot of turtle keepers stay away from acrylic because it scratches easier. res, especially captive res have sharp claws :!:

they sell things that will get scratches out, but i hear it doesnt work well.

good luck!
