Anyone know where I can buy a stock tank without ordering it online, I currently have a 50-gallon and it is leaking so I need to get a new stock tank ASAP... THanks!

I went to my local Tractor Supply Co today and picked up a 100-gallon Rubbermaid stock tank for about $65, Is that a good deal? I thought it was.

You got a pretty good deal. They usually sell between about 70-80 for that size depending on the area you live in.

Thats a good deal and gives good room for swimming compared to the same priced aquarium!

yeah my RES is only about 4-4.5 inches right now so 100-gallon should last her awhile, I think I am going to try and build an external basking area, I'll post some pics once I get it all finished.

you could just glue it with silicon, you can find that at a depart ment store.(Home Depot, Lowes, ACE, etc.

Silicone does not work well on all surfaces, so some research will be needed before any supplies are bought.

I dont know about silicone, but if you are referring to my other tub leaking, i've already bought the stock tank, I dont believe I will have a problem with that leaking (i hope)

A 100g tank is sufficient for a male turtle. If it's a female, once she's fully grown, you'll need at least 120g but the 100 gallon for any turtle will be fine for a few years, provided he/she only grows the expected 1 inch per year.

BTW, silicone bought at home centers like Home Depot isn't necessarily safe for aquarium tanks. For it to be safe, it must say that it is safe for aquariums.
