My turtle is probably just under 1.5 inches. I have the water temp at 78 degrees. How do I know when to lower it to around 75 degrees?

i THINK 75 degrees is a good temperature for adult turtles.78 degrees is good for baby turtles.

I lowered my temp from 78 to 75 when they reached about a year old.
