Habitat - Indoor :: False information?

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

I have had my RES, "Tupac", for about 3 months. When I bought him the salesperson gave me a general information sheet. The paper said that they need enough water that is equal to their height and 3x their length. He is only about an inch or two. So I have him in a glass bowl that holds about a half gallon of water with rocks for him to bask and hide under.
Until the last few days has been happy and eating like a maniac. The water temp is 74 degrees. But he hasn't been eating and is not as active as he used to be. So I came here to see if I could figure it out. It seems like I was given wrong information. Is it the tank?
Any info helps. Thanks.
Tupac

sounds like it's a bit of everything. Read the stickys in each section on the site. They'll give you all the basic info. The info you got was totally wrong. Read all that and if you have questions, we'll help you out.

He will become inactive if the water is too cool, and for a hatchling, it should be around 78F. He needs a new set-up. Read the posts in the forums to find out what he needs.
