Habitat - Outdoor :: Outdoor Ponds & Enclosure

Ponds and other outdoor enclosures.

Post Posted: Sat Jul 01, 2006 4:52 pm   Outdoor Ponds & Enclosure

Here are some pictures of the pond enclosure I have for my 2 RES. I also have frogs and fish in the ponds. I add small feeder fish from time to time for the turtle's enjoyment. :)

If this link does not work, I'll try something else.

Thanks

It looks like you have to register in order to view them. Is there anyway to view them without having to have an account with them as well?

Yes, I collected about 10 plants from a local creek - and they grew like mad! The only plant I have found that can stand up to the fish and turtles! :)

Nice ponds! Is there any kind of fence to keep the turtles from getting out when they are bigger?

I have the babies in a raised pond they cannot get out of -
There is a fence around the enclosure, 3 feet above ground and 5 inches buried beneath. That was actually the hardest part.
They have been pretty happy in there - just get out to bask really, and a little snooping around.
I still have a lot to do - but it is coming along.

Yeah, I bet that fence was a pain. But what a great enclosure!
