What plants (live) could i put in the tank besides anacharis?
Is hornwort ok?

Pretty much any aquatic plant that is safe for fish or sold at pet stores is ok. There's a list under what to feed in the feeding section.

Hornwort is good but it makes a MESS. I had a heck of a time cleaning out the filter when I bought that stuff.

My RES hates hornwort (when I used to put it in the tank, he'd bite it into pieces but wouldn't eat it and it would get stuck in the filter). Aside from the anachris, try duckweed and water hyancinth, which most turtles like. (I'm assuming you want your turtle to eat the plants. If you do and you buy a number of them, you might not want to put them all in the tank at once, but keep some in a container of clean water for later use.)

I got some water hyacinth the other day and I haven't put it in the tank yet. I'm kind of waiting for it to multiply before feeding. However, here's a dumb question. The stuff is huge, so what part of the plant do the turtles actually eat?

Is that the same as water lettuce? If so, my turts eat it roots and all.

My RES would just eat the leaves and the "bulbs" that they come out of. If the plants are really big and your turtles are smaller, they might not eat them at all or only nibble at bits of them. My painteds use the larger plants to hang on to/hide under to avoid the heat. They'll also help filter the water.
