thanks, birdlady. (I think it's time I threw out some of mine. I was hoping that by keeping the roots in water, something would grow when the weather got warmer and they were put outside.)

Well I'm thinking your probably a bit colder than I am this time of year...I'm in Michigan and mine are brown, icky, mushy mess out there in the pond..lol
My turts ate all 1000 of them before the season ended and when I looked at the pond 3 days ago, there were 2 hyacinths left out there...ewwwww is all I could say when I seen them.
