Do the map turtles generally hang out with the painteds (or do they each own a corner of the hood like they do in East LA 
)? I love map turtles too. I would really like to get a baby Barbours Map turtle some day.

That's awesome how you rescued that box turtle and then saw him again. Dogs and turtles are not a good mix. Actually, dogs and most wildlife are not a good mix, unfortunately. They still have the instincts to hunt and kill, but no real desire or need to eat it either.
