I have a 60 gallon aquarium. I have it on the floor right now but if I want to make an external canister filter work when I buy one this weekend, I'll have to have the tank raised cuz I know the filter needs to be below water level.

Did anyone make any easy stands? I don't have many tools/materials, and I live in an apartment so not really any space to construct a big wooden stand or weld plexiglass or anything.

Someone gave me a good idea to get red bricks or cinderblocks and use those with a sheet of plywood on top for a stand. If I can find any cinderblocks in this hick village I will, but just in case, does anyone have any other ideas of what to use/what will be strong enough for an improvised tank stand??

or post pictures of ones you've made.
Thanks so much.

for my stand on my 29 gallon tank i used 4 cinderblocks and 4 boards you would see used on a deck or picnic table. Its set up kind of like the diagram below and each of the flat lines are 2 boards placed next to each other on the blocks

_________
--II-----II--
_________
II---------II

baah i noticed it didnt come out right on here. The solid lines are the boards and the II are the cinder blocks dont worry about the other lines they dont exist ha
