I was just wondering if 66 F is a good temp to take turtles out?It so nice outside,I really want to take her outside

I wouldn't take her out unless it was above 70 and then if the conditions were right (sunny, not breezy etc). Taking a turtle into less than idea conditions and then back inside could help weaken their immune system, causing illness. I wouldn't chance it. :)

I'd like to add that I've seen several instances on this forum of people taking their turtles out for a walk and then losing them. If he has everything he needs in his habitat, there's really no reason for it.

If, as you mentioned in another post, your turtle is acting differently (afraid of things, I think you indicated), why would you want to put your turtle in strange surroundings and most likely stress him out?

Also, they should be on a soft surface (grass, dirt, not concrete). I take my turts outside, but I'm the one that runs around watching them.
