Feeding and Nutrition :: How to switch turtle to veggies.

My turtle is still 2 inches , I read that they are to be on a more carnivorous diet when they are small. So when should I start feeding veggies?And how do Make him want to eat them, I've tried putting lettuce and cabbage during his feeding time or in the tank for the whole day and he still doesn't touch it.

I'm a bad one to give advice, because my son's turtle is a pig. She'll eat anything.

Try some aquatic plants like anacharis an try using a veggie clip along with it.

try having him chase it, like wiggle it around. if yours is anything like mine are that will get his attention!

I agree... My turtle ranks greens in the following order:

1. Anarchis
2. Hornwort
3. Red Leaf Lettuce

He goes at the anarchis like it's turtle crack.

Mine didn't touch veggies for about a year. Started with carrots now they eat red leaf also.
